Owner James Dolan is showing confidence in head coach David Fizdale amid the New York Knicks’ struggles this season.

The New York Knicks have won two of their last three games. However, don’t start becoming too hyped up about this team. There are still numerous holes to fill as New York is 4-10, sitting in 14th place in the Eastern Conference.

Through the struggles, there have been talks regarding head coach David Fizdale‘s job security. Since his hire, Fizdale has combined for a coaching record of 21-75 with New York. Fans have gone back and forth on it, but ultimately, owner James Dolan has given Fizdale his vote of confidence.

“Every game, every game. Jim Dolan comes in and gives me a vote of confidence, a pat on my back and really has just been incredibly encouraging over the last year and a half or whatever it’s been,” Fizdale said on Tuesday, per Ian Begley of SNY. “All we talk about is just sticking to the process of making these guys better and building for a future of sustainable winning.”

At the moment, the Knicks’ four victories have come against the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks (twice), and Cleveland Cavaliers. For right now, Fiz’s job seems to be secure after winning two out of three on their most recent homestand.

However, the schedule is about to heat up. They’ll take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET. It’s the first of an 11-game stretch for the Knicks in which each opponent was a playoff team last year.
