The New York Jets extended their halftime lead via Jamal Adams‘ turnover-turned-touchdown earned on a Daniel Jones fumble.

Christmas is over a month away, but Jamal Adams took an early gift for himself all the way to the end zone.

With the New York Jets holding a slim halftime lead on the New York Giants, Adams’ visit to the backfield ended poorly for MetLife Stadium’s blue tenant. With quarterback Daniel Jones dropping back to pass on third down, Adams denied the single hard necessary for a first with a hit on Jones.

Keeping the rookie upright, Adams took the ball from the Duke alum and took it back 25 yards for the score.

It’s the second touchdown of the season for the Jets’ defensive leader and first of his career scored via fumble. He previously took back a Jarrett Stidham interception back for a six-pointer in the Jets’ visit to New England in September.

Unfortunately for Adams and the Jets, that’s been the extent of the green scoring so far in the second half. Two Golden Tate touchdowns have given the Giants a 27-21 lead late in the third quarter.
